Art Club members with renowned artist Jim Dine (center) after hearing him speak at the Seattle Art Museum in fall 2007.

The Art Club's mission is to inspire, promote, and enhance an appreciation of art among students and faculty/staff of Edmonds CC, as well as members of the community.

Each quarter, members of the Art Club participate in a number of art-centered activities, including open studio sessions (where members use art supplies purchased by club funds); visits to local artists' studios; field trips to area museums and galleries; painting murals for sites on campus; collaborative painting with (and sending supplies to) artist friends in Cameroon; working with the Art Docents program at the Center for Families; and printing club T-shirts and making creative items for fund-raising events.

There are no membership dues to join, and you don't have to be an art student or even have an art background. The Art Club is open to anyone interested in participating in art-centered activities!

If interested in joining, or if you have questions about the Art Club, please email Sarah Maki, adviser: Sarah.Maki@edcc.edu.
