Edmonds Community College fields seven athletic teams as part of the Northern Region of the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC). Scholarships are available for prospective athletes in all sports. Here is information on Eligibility at Edmonds CC.
Edmonds Community College's Athletic Facilities include Triton Field and Seaview Gym. The gym offers basketball courts, a weight room, and locker facilities for use by students, faculty, and staff with a valid EdPass. Seaview Gym is also home to the Physical Education department, as well as intramural and recreational activities.
EdCC Wins Maury Ray Athletic Director's Cup
The NWAC announced the two winners of its 2015 Athletic Director's Cup (Dr. Maury Ray Cup) at the annual Hall of Fame Banquet and Awards Dinner on June 4. Taking the Dick McClain Division (schools with seven or less sports) was Edmonds Community College. Read More>>
Men's Soccer Announces Two Tryout Dates
The EdCC men's soccer team will hold a pair of tryouts for the upcoming season: August 5 (9-10:30 a.m.) and August 6 (9-11 a.m.). Bring cleats and appropriate playing gear. Both tryouts will be at Triton Field on the campus of Edmonds CC. For more information, contact Head Coach Ozzy Erkut at 808-386-2711.
Two Tritons Selected in MLB Draft
Two Tritons were selected in the 2015 MLB First Year Player Draft. Former Triton Sam Triece (2012), a RHP, was taken by Tampa Bay in the 10th round of the draft (298th overall pick). After a one-year stint at EdCC where he was 4-0 with a 1.54 ERA, Triece moved on to Washington State. Freshman Alec Kisena was tabbed by the Tigers in the 16th round (490th overall pick). The RHP went 8-2 in 2015 and earned all-region and All-NWAC nods.
Baseball Finishes 3rd at NWAC Tournament
LONGVIEW - The Edmonds CC baseball team came up short in its quest for a second straight NWAC championship but still placed well -- third -- at Story Field. The Tritons lost to Tacoma, then beat Walla Walla and Treaure Valley before losing to eventual champs, Lower Columbia. Baseball Schedule >>
Baseball Wins 2015 North Region Title
LYNNWOOD – Edmonds claimed its second consecutive, and 20th overall, North Region title by beating Everett 7-1 Sunday at Triton Field. The Tritons also recognized its sophomores. Recap >>
Six Spring Athletes Earn All Academic
The NWAC released its 2015 Spring All-Academic team members and six Tritons made the list. Vinny Catanzaro, Jaime Umbinetti Ben Roquet and Kameron Miner were honorees from baseball with softball's Lexie Gray and Shawna Steele earning All-Academic. Ozzy Erkut Hired as Men's Soccer Coach
Edmonds Community College announced the hiring of Oguzhan "Ozzy" Erkut as head coach
for men's soccer on Monday, February 9. Erkut will take over the Triton program that
has won three out of the last four NWAC North Region titles and reached the NWAC semi-finals
